Variable Speed Control
Recent scientific research has determined that the amount of air-flow actually used for "steady state" milking - when all milking units are attached without any squawking teat cups or air leaks - is as little as 1 to 2 cfm (30 to 60 L/min) per unit. There are times during milking when additional airflow is required, such as when attaching units, when there is a squawking liner, or when a milking unit falls off. There are also times during the cleaning of the milking system when additional airflow is needed, such as when an air injector admits atmospheric air into the milk line to form a "wash slug". A BouMatic Variable Speed Drive is the way to achieve the correct amount of air-flow for your system.
